OnePlus Nord 2 Leaked Promising High-Cost Performance

Shortly before the news on November 13, we reported the news about OnePlus Nord SE. As we have reported, it supports 65W fast charging and has a battery capacity of 4500mAh. Now, it looks like the firm is already working on a follow-up to the standard Nord model.

According to famous tipster Max Jambor, OnePlus has started working on OnePlus Nord 2, a successor to this year’s Nord smartphone. The tipster has confirmed to PhoneArena that ‘Denniz’ is the codename that OnePlus employees have chosen for the Nord 2, though he didn’t share other important details regarding the product, leaving us in the dark about the specs, price, and release date of the smartphone. Nevertheless, we finally got the confirmation that a OnePlus Nord successor is in the works. Moreover, this is the brand’s fifth flagship product with high-cost performance. So, the price is relatively low if you compare it to the flagship. The whistleblower said that the final name of the machine may be OnePlus Nord 2.

Specifications and release date

For now, information is scanty on the features and specifications of this new model. However, possible upgrades may include an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 700-series chipset, an OnePlus 8T-like camera module with more powerful sensors. And possibly it may include a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display to replace the existing 90Hz display. In addition, it will feature a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display + 30W+ fast charging.

The release date is not known either, though we’re willing to bet that the Nord 2 will be released in the June/July timeframe. On the other hand, the media also predicts that OnePlus Nord 2 will be launched next year because its previous generation product was unveiled in July this year. In addition, the price of the machine will be between the prices of OnePlus 9 and OnePlus Nord SE.
