Recently, on its official Weibo channel, MediaTek announced it will release new products of the Dimensity series on January 20. They are the brand new products, with superior technology and upgraded experience. According to the previous news, we are dealing with the MediaTek MT689x new platform. It is the first 6nm high-performance processor. Today, Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group forwarded MediaTek’s promo Weibo. He said that the Redmi K30 Ultra equipped with the Dimensity 1000+ has also entered the end of the product. So, the new Dimensity flagship chip will be coming in 2021.
In August last year, the Redmi K30 Ultra was released. The Redmi K30 Ultra has a 120Hz AMOLED pop-up screen, which uses a Samsung E3 material. It also sports a Dimensity 1000+, a super VC heat dissipation. Its benchmark score exceeds 530K. It also comes with a quad-camera, which consists of Sony 64-megapixel lens, 50mm telephoto macro lens, etc. There are also dual speakers, 4500mAh battery, which supports 33W flash charging. The Redmi K30 Ultra is available in three colors: White, Extreme Night Black, and Mint Green.
In addition, MediaTek has two 5/6nm chips, one of which is a 6nm chip MT6893. The official name of this chip is Dimensity 1200. In addition, the chip adopts the ARM Cortex-A78 core design. It consists of four Cortex A78 + four Cortex A55, and the GPU is Mali-G77. The highest frequency of the main core is 3.0GHz. It is relative to the current 7nm process. Dimensity 1000+ directly integrates four Cortex-A77 large cores and four Cortex-A55 small cores, with frequencies of 2.6GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. The performance of A77 is 20% higher than that of A76. A76 is actually a very successful core architecture launched by ARM. So, the combination with the 7nm TSMC process brings a huge performance.
