After the divestiture of Honor from Huawei, it got both a new beginning and a new opportunity. Unlike the case of Huawei, Honor now has a very large number of possibilities. The first model of the new Honor after its independence, the Honor V40, has officially passed the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s network access review and telecommunications filing, etc. FIt is expected to be released in the near future.
The Honor V40 sports Huawei’s HW-110600C0x charger as standard and also supports up to 66W charge pump fast charging. In addition, the three great models of Honor V40 have opened their pages on JD.com. But no information has been announced.
A Weibo blogger has previously revealed that the HiSilicon Kirin version of the Honor V40 series has been cut and that only models with MediaTek Dimensity series 5G chips remain for the machine.
Honor’s CEO Zhao Ming clearly stated in an employee communication meeting that Honor’s goal is to become the number one in the domestic smartphone market. Zhao Ming also mentioned that Honor plans to release the V40 series of smartphones in January 2021. The V40 will use the previously stocked MediaTek chips.
Earlier, on November 26, 2019, Honor released two models, the V30 and V30 Pro. Both of them feature Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC, starting with 6GB of storage. It is the industry’s first full line of 5G dual-mode smartphones.
