Yesterday, Lei Jun posted about the Mi Notebook Pro on Weibo. The founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi revealed that this Xiaomi laptop is about to return.
Today, a new model of TIMI TM2021 appeared on GeekBench, equipped with i7-11370H processor and NVIDIA’s unreleased RTX 3050 Ti, which is expected to be the upcoming Mi Notebook Pro.
The already released RedmiBook Pro 15 is also equipped with an i7-11370H processor, code-named TIMI TM2017. The new TIMI TM2021 comes with the same processor, but the running score is very high, and it is expected to be equipped with a better heat dissipation system.
In terms of graphics cards, the Mi Notebook Pro will sport the NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti, which has 2560 stream processors, and 4GB of video memory.
The Redmibook Pro 15 now on the market is already very Pro in terms of workmanship, screen and other parameters. Especially, we should mention the 3.2K 90Hz screen, which is higher than the 2.8K 90Hz specification of Lenovo YOGA. It is expected that the Xiaomi Notebook Pro will be higher than the Redmibook Pro 15 in terms of positioning, and may use Samsung’s OLED screen, thus opening up the gap with RedmiBook Pro 15.
Mi Notebook Pro’s Roots
In June last year, Xiaomi launched a new Pro 15 2020 model. It sports Intel’s tenth-generation Core processor and MX350 graphics card. The price of the product starts at 5799 Yuan ($892). At that time, the Mi Pro 15 2020 model followed the mold of the previous generation Xiaomi Notebook Pro enhanced version. Thus, it supports a 15.6-inch screen, with 1080p resolution, 100% sRGB color gamut, and 300nit brightness.
The first Mi Notebook Pro is a high-quality device released by Xiaomi in Beijing in September 2017. In terms of appearance, it uses a minimalist design with an aluminum case. Like the Pro 15 version, this notebook uses a 15.6-inch display.
The price of the upcoming laptop will likely start at 6999 Yuan ($1075).
