In recent years, the performance of Huawei’s smartphones, especially flagship phones, in photography is obvious to all. Almost every new flagship phone of Huawei tops DXOMARK ranking. In the next new generation of P series flagships, Huawei will once again introduce a new technology – liquid lenses. Recently, a media have revealed the patent information of the liquid lens.
According to the source, the new Huawei P50 series flagship is basically the same as the previous exposure. The new Huawei P50 series flagship will be the first to come with a liquid lens. At present, the State Intellectual Property Office of China has approved the patent. It includes mobile motors, connection springs, and restrictions. According to reports, the liquid lens is an electric liquid lens. It can change the shape of the liquid through different voltages to control the focus imaging.
A major advantage of this technology is that it can focus quickly, even reaching the focusing speed of the human eye. At the same time, this lens can also have imaging stability. So, it eliminates the additional hardware requirements and smaller footprints brought by TOF lenses.
According to the previously exposed news, the new Huawei P50 series will still include at least three versions of P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+. The front will basically continue the design of the P40 series, with a double-hole waterfall screen.
As for the back of the fuselage, the phone should have a bigger change, somewhat similar to the previous rendering of the new Samsung Galaxy S21 series. Although the rear camera module still uses a circular design, it seems that it is also preparing to move further to the edge.
The phone should have the latest Kirin 9000 chip as usual. But as of now, Huawei’s 5G smartphone chips are still limited. So it is very suspicious whether the P50 series will have the Kirin 9000.
The new liquid lens will be mass-produced and commercialized next year. The new Huawei P50 series will become the first model equipped with this lens. Of course, this lens may only be a special version of the unique lens.
