Today, Stone released the latest Roborock sweeping robot, namely the Roborock S7 at CES 2021. Compared with the previous generation S6, the biggest change of S7 is the use of Sonic Mopping. The company said that the mop can vibrate at a frequency of 50Hz. It can vibrate 3000 times per minute, which can effectively mop the floor and remove dry stains. After cleaning, the mop can also lift itself 5mm to prevent dirty streaks on the floor.
Another big improvement is the ultrasonic carpet recognition technology. It has a special carpet recognition sensor. When the sweeping robot touches the carpet, it will automatically lift the mop to prevent the carpet from getting wet. The Roborock S7, as the flagship new product of the year, also has a new RR Mason 7.0 algorithm to achieve less route duplication and improve efficiency.
In other aspects, the Roborock S7 has a maximum suction power of 2500Pa and uses a lidar for navigation. The trash has a capacity of 470ml, and the water tank can hold up to 300ml of water. The battery power is 5200mAh. In the most in the “quiet” mode and low water flow mop settings, you can use it for 3 hours. All operations can be done through Roborock or Mi Home apps.
According to the manufacturer, it can automatically empty the garbage in the sweeping robot. It will be compatible with some old models of sweeping robots. The docking station will be launched later this year. The Roborock S7 is available in black and white colors, with a retail price of $649. And it will go on sale in the United States on March 24.
