Earlier, Lei Jun said that because of the difficulties in mass production, they had given up the Xiaomi mi MIX Alpha. So Mi fans began looking forward another Mi MIX series smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. Recently, one of the Weibo bloggers showed a smartphone poster that is suspected to be the MIX 4.
According to the blogger, the suspected Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will use Mi’s third-generation under-screen camera technology. The overall appearance is similar to Mi MIX Alpha, but without a surround screen design. From the picture, we can see that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 has no holes on the front and adopts the rear quad-camera solution.
It is worth noting that the previous JD 2020 new product launch event was scheduled to be take place in coming days. A corresponding poster showed that a ‘2020 Dream Machine’ was about to be released. Users generally believed that it was suggesting the launch of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. And this wasn’t in line with the launch date disclosed by slashleaks. The latter proves the Mi MIX 4 will be released on January 10 next year.
As for the in-screen camera technology it will come with, Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand, said that Xiaomi’s third-generation under-screen camera technology solves two pain points in the field. One is whether the display in the hole area can be visually the same as other areas (pixel compensation). The second is the transmittance of the camera’s selfie and the color cast it causes. He also said that Xiaomi’s third-generation under-screen camera is currently the most advanced technology. And it will become the best solution in the full-screen era.
