Xiaomi has released a number of Redmi 9 series models in the Indian market, starting with the Redmi 9 Prime, then the Redmi 9, and then the Redmi 9A. Today, Xiaomi has added another model, the Redmi 9i. It has many similarities with the already-released Redmi 9A, but with 4GB of RAM and more storage options.

The Redmi 9i uses a 6.53-inch IPS LCD water drop screen with a resolution of 720×1600. There is a 13-megapixel single camera on the back, supplemented by an LED flash. This camera module supports 1080p@30 /60fps video recording. There is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. This selfie camera can record 1080p@30fps videos.
In terms of performance, this phone uses the Helio G25 chipset. Helio G25 is MediaTek’s entry-level gaming chipset. It is based on a 12nm process and uses a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The main selling point of the Redmi 9i is the larger memory and storage. The Redmi 9i uses 4GB of LPDDR4x memory and provides 64GB and 128GB storage options.
The second highlight of this phone is the large-capacity battery. The machine has a 5000mAh battery with a charging speed of 10W and comes pre-installed with MIUI 12 based on Android 10.
The price of Redmi9i in India is:
4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage version is 8,299 rupees (about $113);
4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage version is 9,299 rupees (about $126).
Both variants will go on sale on September 18, with colors available in natural green, navy blue and midnight black.
