On July 9, Redmi announced that the new member of the Note series – the Redmi Note 9 – will be released in India.
Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi’s global vice president and head of Xiaomi’s India business, said the Redmi Note 9 will bring unparalleled performance and great camera features.
At present, Redmi has released the Redmi Note 9 Pro series in India. It includes the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
In terms of key features, the Redmi Note 9 Pro uses a 6.67-inch 20:9 hole screen. Under the hood, it carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. The front camera has a 16MP resolution, while the rear quad-camera’s main sensor has a 48MP resolution and supports AI shooting. The battery capacity is 5020mAh.
As for the reference, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max uses a 6.67-inch hole-punch screen. The processor is the same as the Redmi Note 9. There is a 32MP camera in the front and a 64Mp quad-camera in the rear. The battery capacity is 5020mAh, and it supports 33W flash charging.
Returning to Redmi Note 9, from the official poster, the camera of the Redmi Note 9 should continue the design style of the Redmi Note 9 Pro series. We call it a ‘Yuba’ style.
The company has not yet announced the release time of the Redmi Note 9 in India. As for the price, considering that the initial price of Redmi Note 9 Pro in India is 12999 Indian rupees (about $173), the first price of the Redmi Note 9 may be within 9,999 Rupees ($143).
