We are waiting for a new Xiaomi smartphone to come our way in the nearest future. Recently, phone has appeared on the GeekBench database. It is codenamed Xiaomi Apollo. But at the moment, we can’t say whether it will be a Redmi or Xiaomi brand handset. There are rumors that we are dealing with the Redmi K40. But the Xiaomi Mi 10T is on the way as well. So we are still confused.
Anyways, one of the well-known Weibo tipsters said that the Xiaomi Apollo engineering machine had begun testing Huaxing’s 144Hz LCD screen. It natively supports MEMC video frame enhancement. This phone will sport a hole-punch display, with a hole diameter of about 3.8mm.
When it appeared on the GeekBench database, we learned not only about the running scores but also about its hardware. The Xiaomi Apollo sports a Snapdragon 8-core processor with a base frequency of 1.8GHz. The running memory capacity is 16GB. As a result, the phone could score 901 points in the single-core test, and 3275 points in the multi-core test. There are reports that the Xiaomi Apollo may be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. Also, it should come with a 108MP main camera. This handset is assumed to be designed for overseas markets only.
For comparison, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, which is now on the market. It has a 120x ultra-telephoto lens and a customized outsole large pixel ultra-dynamic low-light main camera. Also, it supports a 120Hz native 10bit professional primary color screen configuration. The screen is still powered by TCL’s Huaxing Optoelectronics Supply.
