On October 27, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies of China approved the smartwatches with model numbers REDMITW01 and REDMITW02. These numbers belong to the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite.
Today, the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite has obtained Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification, and some details of the smartwatch have become available.
The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite will use a 1.41-inch HD square color screen and a built-in 230mAh battery, supporting 5W charging. Moreover, the smartwatch will sport GPS positioning, 50 meters water resistance, 24-hour heart rate detection, automatic brightness adjustment, multiple sports modes, etc. It is important to mention that you can pair this device with your smartphone via Bluetooth 5.1. The smartphones just need to be Android 4.4 or IOS 10 and above.
According to some reliable digital bloggers, the manufacturer may rename the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite to Redmi Watch in China. The reason for thinking so is that Redmi will hold a press conference for the new Redmi Note series at the end of the year. At the same time, Xiaomi will unveil the Lite smartwatch. This coincidence makes bloggers think that the name of the smartphone will not remain. So, let’s wait till the end of the year.
