Last week, we heard too many news and leaks concerning the Xiaomi Air 2 Pro headset configuration. Today, we got myriads of real machine photos and a hands-on demonstration video.
The Xiaomi Air 2 Pro does not need a phone to operate. Also, just press and hold the back button to switch the noise reduction mode. The headset will provide three noise reduction modes: active noise reduction + passive noise reduction mode, passive noise reduction mode and ambient sound mode.
- Noise reduction on = active noise reduction + passive noise reduction
- Transparent mode = ambient sound mode
- Noise reduction level = passive noise reduction
It is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Air 2 Pro supports switching modes only when both earbuds are used. When using only one earbud, it will automatically switch to transparent mode.
On October 1, it was reported that the Air 2 Pro noise-cancelling earphones are aligned with the standard AirPods Pro, with a single ear weight of 6.5g. It uses feedforward and feedback hybrid digital noise reduction. Moreover, the noise reduction strength is 35dB.
In addition, this headset also comes with a 12mm dynamic coil unit. The Xiaomi Air 2 Pro has 7 hours of battery life when noise reduction is turned off, and 5 hours of battery life when noise reduction is turned on. It supports wireless charging, voice wake-up and transparent mode. The audio delay is 100ms, and supports AAC and LHDC decoding.
These earphones will go on sale on October 13. The price has not been announced.
