AGM, a well-known rugged smartphone brand in China, announced that it will open an appointment for the new AGM X5 5G smartphone on December 1. The AGM X5 will be the world’s first 5G rugged smartphone. The appearance continues the tough shape, but the back and waist are concave on both sides. The vision is more thin and light.
Its waterproof and dustproof grade reaches IP69 level. So, it can support the waterproof performance of diving to 10 meters. Moreover, it is rumored that the anti-fall height has been increased from 1.5 meters for traditional smartphone manufacturers to “no injuries when falling on the second floor.” This phone continues the consistent style of the AGM X series, with a tough frame design, black with red lines embellishment, and dual speakers on the upper and lower foreheades. It makes the sound louder and clearer.
The AGM X5 adopts a water drop screen and a rear fingerprint recognition module design. The concave design on both sides of the back reduces the thickness of the overall body a lot. It has four rear cameras. However, we have no info about the main camera. Wide-angle and macro lenses should not be lacking.
Judging from the previously exposed information, this phone is equipped with a purely domestic 5G chip – Unisoc t7510. The latter was released in the first half of 2020. It is composed of 4 2.0GHz A75+4 1.8GHz A55 cores combinations. GPU uses the PowerVR GM9446, which has a frequency of 800MHz and an integrated Ivy V510 baseband. It supports SA&NSA 5G dual module network, and N41/ 5G mainstream frequency bands such as N78/N79.
