Today, the vice president of Xiaomi Group and the president of China announced on Weibo that the global sales of Redmi Note 8 series exceeded 30 million units.
Lu Weibing said that the sales of the Redmi Note 8 Little King Kong series exceeded 1 million units in the first month. Moreover, 5 million units were sold in 2 months, and 10 million units in 3 months. It was achieved two months ahead of the Note 7 series; 5 months sales exceeded 20 million units. According to Canalys’ statistics of the global smartphone sales rankings for the fourth quarter of 2019, the Note 8 series is the only model among Chinese manufacturers.

In August 2019, the Redmi Note 8 / Pro was officially announced. In terms of configuration, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is equipped with a Helio G90T processor. The latter has 2 ARM Cortex-A76 and 6 Cortex-A55 cores. There is also a built-in 4500mAh battery. And though the phone retains the 3.5mm audio jack, it also has a Type -C interface. Also, Lu Weibing said Hong Kong stocks of Xiaomi Group rose nearly 5% in intraday trading. As of press time, Xiaomi Group rose 4.56% to HK $10.540, and the value of the Hong Kong stock market reached HK $253.40 billion.
