Yesterday, Redmi shared a video on Weibo about the Redmi K40 fast charge. The fast-charging comparison test showed that the device is powerful enough to compete with friends.

As we can see from the video, the models of these friends are X60 Pro+ and Mate 40 Pro. The first is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip while the second supports HiSilicon Kirin 9000 processor. The chip and charging specifications of the machines are 4200mAh battery + 55W flash charging and 4400 mAh+66W flash charging, respectively.
Speaking about the Redmi K40, the smartphone sports a 4520mAh battery. The test results show that you can fully charge the phone within 50 minutes and 12 seconds. It is important to mention that the smartphone uses a 33W fast charge. As a comparison, the X60 Pro+ is fully charged in 45 minutes and 25 seconds. However, the Mate 40 Pro is close to the K40.
Taking into account Redmi’s copywriting, the main point of this post is the charging speed of this smartphone. Furthermore, the phone guarantees a similar speed even with a larger battery. Of course, the above-mentioned models belong to the same echelon in the fast charging industry. Hence, there are not so many differences from the data point of view. Thus, users still need to choose the model that suits their needs better.
Interestingly, the Xiaomi Mi 10S will also use 33W fast charging. This simply means that the mentioned 33W fast charging technology will work there too.
