Last month, Xiaomi released the Mi 10T series overseas, and the new series will also meet with Chinese consumers. According to a Weibo blogger, the Chinese version of the Xiaomi Mi 10T series will be named the Redmi K30 series. It is positioned as a high-end flagship.
Today, it was reported that the new Redmi K30 smartphone is called Redmi K30S. So it will be the final piece of the Redmi K30 series. Taking into account the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 flagship processor in the Xiaomi Mi 10T series, it seems that this will be Redmi’s last Snapdragon 865 smartphone.
Currently, Redmi already has two Snapdragon 865 flagships. They are the Redmi K30 Pro Standard Edition and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition. Unlike the Redmi K30 Pro series, the Redmi K30S uses an LCD hole-punch screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz, while the former uses a Samsung AMOLED pop-up screen with a refresh rate of 60Hz.
It is worth noting that the Redmi K30S series seems to be divided into two versions. The standard variant will sport a 64-megapixel camera. It corresponds to the Xiaomi Mi 10T. The high-end variant will come with a main camera of 100-megapixel. It corresponds to the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro. In addition, the Redmi K30S continues Redmi’s consistent long battery life advantage. It is equipped with a 5000mAh large-capacity battery. Thus, you don’t have to worry about the endurance.
In terms of price, taking into account Redmi’s extreme price-performance positioning, the starting price of the machine is expected to be between 2000-3000 yuan ($298-$447). At last, it will be officially released at the end of this month.
