Xiaomi launched three Redmi Note 9 smartphones overseas in March this year. After that, the company released three Redmi Note 9 series models in the domestic market in November just past. It seems that the domestic Redmi Note 9 series smartphones will be launched overseas under the new name. And now the whistleblower @stufflistings said on Twitter that the Redmi 9 Power will be launched in India on December 15.
There are plenty of rumors about the upcoming phone. Allegedly, the Redmi 9 Power could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 4G that was launched in China last week — alongside the Redmi Note 9 5G and the Redmi Note 9 5G Pro. In addition, the new Redmi phone reportedly surfaced on Google Play Console earlier this week with model number M2010J19SI. In fact, it is so far associated with the Redmi Note 9 4G. It was also codenamed ‘lime’ on the Google database.
Redmi 9 Power details
In addition, Xiaomi also warmed up its first QLED Xiaomi TV in India. We expect it to be launched at the same time as Redmi 9 Power. It uses a 6.67-inch FHD+ display and also sports Snapdragon 662 chip. The smartphone includes 4GB RAM and 128GB storage space. We also expect the phone will feature a 48MP main camera. The Redmi 9 Power could also include an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Although it’s not clear why Xiaomi launched a new phone at this time, the suffix of the phone’s Power is undoubted because the phone uses a 6000 mAh battery. On the other hand, it is also Redmi’s first smartphone which has a battery capacity of 6000 mAh. The new smartphone also supports 18W fast charging and 2.5W reverse wired charging. The smartphone is also said to come in Green, Blue, and Black colors.
