Lu Weibing: New Year’s Masterpiece Redmi K40 Is Set For February

This morning, Lu Weibing, Vice President of Xiaomi Group, President of China, and General Manager of the Redmi Brand, announced through social media that the Year of the Ox is approaching. In addition, the company’s new year’s masterpiece Redmi K40 is scheduled for February 25.

Lu Weibing also said that Redmi K40 is the first New Year gift for Redmi users in the new year, with a brand-new design, positioning, and experience.

Previously, Xiaomi 5G smartphones with models M2012K11AC and M2012K11C passed the 3C certification on February 3, and they all feature 33W chargers. The manufacturer was Xi’an BYD Electronics Co., Ltd. These two phones are Redmi K40 and the Pro version.

According to the information previously disclosed by Lu Weibing, the Redmi K40 will have a version with a Snapdragon 888 processor. And the price of that version is only 2,999 yuan.

On the other hand, the Redmi K 40 has a straight screen design. The screen opening size of the series is about 2.8mm. It is much smaller than the usual 3 or 4 mm diameter. Thus, it’s enough to become the smallest proactive opening on the market.

In addition to the ultra-small opening, the company also previously revealed that the Redmi K40 will include a “probably the most expensive” face-to-face screen. It is made of Samsung’s top E4 luminescent material. Moreover, it uses the same technology as the big brother Xiaomi Mi 11. And the latter can bring higher brightness, contrast, etc., shows better visual effects, while also supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of camera, the machine will feature up to a four-camera camera module. If no accident, it will include a 100-megapixel main camera. And what about the battery, seems like the battery capacity may be no less than 4000mAh.
