Lei Jun Explains Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra’s Full-Phase Change Cooling Technology

Today, Xiaomi officially announced the world’s first full-phase change cooling technology, a heat dissipation technology for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The latter will also debut the Samsung ISOCELL GN2 CMOS, with a 1/1.12″ inch ultra-outsole. Each pixel of 50MP reaches 1.4μm. It is also the world’s first to support Dual PD Pro and full-pixel omnidirectional 8-core focusing. It supports up to 120x zoom shooting.

Full Phase Change Cooling Technology Features

This technology can realize one-time heat dissipation and three-state change of solid, liquid and gas, but how to do it?  Lei Jun gave a detailed explanation of the full phase change heat dissipation technology. He said that the technology uses a new phase-changeable organic hydrocarbon (tīng) material. The latter is solid-liquefied after heat absorption, and the thermal conductivity can be 100%. Then, it has a VC soaking plate to form a “sandwich”-like solid-liquid-gas three-state change heat dissipation system. It quickly transfers and discharges heat to ensure high-energy and stable output.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Xiaomi also announced a number of new technologies before. Yesterday, Xiaomi announced that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will launch the first super fast-charging silicon-oxygen negative electrode battery. In addition, it can make smartphone batteries thinner and faster. Xiaomi said that it took the lead in applying battery technology of new energy vehicles to smartphones. It adds nano-scale silicon materials through the negative electrode and brings 10 times the theoretical gram capacity of graphite.

At the same time, the new generation of the Mi MIX will use the world’s first liquid lens. This lens uses the principle of bionics, just like a “human eye lens” is installed in a smart phone lens. The film wrapped the flowable liquid replaces the traditional optical lens, and realizes the change of focal length and focus.
