Because of the consumer’s pursuit of thin and light equipment, major smartphone manufacturers have turned their attention to the 3.5mm headphone jack. At present, flagship machines such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and P30 Pro have canceled the 3.5mm headphone jack. This is also a helpless move by major manufacturers after the balance between battery life and thickness. However, VIVO does not seem to be ready to follow the wind to cancel the 3.5mm headphone jack on the NEX 2019.
Recently, VIVO NEX product manager Li Xiang was very active on Weibo. He not only was replying to the questions but also provided some information about the headphone jack of the upcoming VIVO NEX flagship. He said that the 3.5mm headphone jack is still there. This is undoubtedly a boon for anyone who wants to keep a 3.5mm headphone jack. It seems that VIVO does not fully adopt the aggressive design route of the previous APEX 2019. As you remember, the latter came without a hole.
At present, VIVO has not released more details about the new NEX flagship. There are only a few things officially confirmed. Say, the company said it will adopt the waterfall screen design and will come with the screen camera technology. Previously, it was also reported that VIVO has solved the ‘window effect’ problem faced by the screen camera technology. So the NEX series new machine is expected to be the first with this technology.
We expect the device to be announced later this year and we can’t wait to see what VIVO has been cooking.
