In September last year, Xiaomi released the Mi Air 2, a true wireless Bluetooth headset, priced at 399 yuan ($58).
On April 9 this year, at the Mi Festival, Xiaomi Air 2s will go on sale at a price of 399 yuan. The upgraded version supports wireless charging.
On May 19 this year, the Xiaomi Air 2 SE went on sale at only 169 yuan ($25). A single full charge can be used for about 5 hours. And the overall battery life can be up to 20 hours when used with a charging box.
Now, Xiaomi also plans to launch the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro. Gizmochina showed a screenshot of the pop-up window when the headset is connected to the phone.
From the screenshots, we can see the Xiaomi Air 2 Pro adopts an in-ear design similar to AirPods Pro with rubber earplugs. This is also a commonly used solution for active noise reduction.
Although Xiaomi has launched a variety of wireless headsets, only the Xiaomi noise-reduction collar Bluetooth headset supports noise reduction. So this is the first Xiaomi true wireless headset that supports noise reduction. Earlier, it was revealed that the Air 2 Pro also supports wireless charging support. When the cover of the headset is opened, it will also have an automatic connection function. But it may be limited to MIUI devices.
On August 21 this year, a product named ‘Mi Wireless Bluetooth Headset 2 Pro’ passed the certification, and it should be called the Mi Air 2 Pro.
Gizmochina speculates that the price of the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro in China will cost around 500 yuan and 600 yuan ($73 – 88).
