Huami has become even more popular when launching the second-generation Amazfit GTR and GTS smartwatches. But it seems this brand is breathing on the neck of Huawei. We mean just as Huawei announced the Huawei Watch GT 2e, we have got FCC documents showing two new Huami watches – Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit GTS 2e.
Differences between the 2 smartwatches
As TizenHelp reports, the Amazfit GTS 2e has the model number A2021. At the same time, the Amazfit GTR 2e has the model number A2023. The images from the FCC documents show that the GTR 2e will have a round display while the Amazfit GTS 2e will come with a square display. Unfortunately, this is all we know about these handsets.
Anyway, as the names of the Huami and Huawei watches match, there is every reason the upcoming Huami GTR 2e and GTS 2e will compete with the Huawei Watch GT 2e launched recently. So recalling its key features can be useful. Although the Amazfit GTR 2 comes in both classic and sports editions, the differences between both are limited to the material of the strap and the color of the watch.
If Huami is going the same route as Huawei, then the Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit GTS 2e may have a more sports-like design compared to the standard models.
We still don’t have any info indicating their upcoming launch. They may launch this year or might arrive next year. Nevertheless, we will make sure to let you know once we have more details.
Unfortunately, the FCC documents are everything we have right now. Hence, there’s no way to estimate when the company will unveil the new smartwatches. They’re likely coming in early 2021 unless the company decides to announce a new event for December. Worth noting, that the company is set to launch a new smartwatch under its Zepp lineup dubbed Zepp Z. The wearable will be revealed on November 17 in Global markets and will go official in China on November 18. The new Zepp smartwatch is set to come with a Metal Body featuring a leather strap. Moreover, we’ll also have two buttons visible on the right side of the watch.
