Huawei Mate Xs Folding Screen Smartphone Will Be Available In March Next Year

Although Huawei’s first 5G folding-screen smartphone the Mate X is still difficult to find, however an upgraded version of the smartphone the Huawei Mate Xs is already on the way.

Huawei Consumer Business CEO, Yu Chengdong, said in an interview with French media Frandroid that Huawei will release an upgraded version of Huawei Mate X at the MWC2020 conference next year. This will be Huawei’s second foldable smartphone. The new device will be upgraded with better hinges, better screens and will support Kirin 990 5G SoC.

As usual, Yu Chengdong will give a speech at the MWC 2020 conference in February next year. At the same time, he said that Huawei’s folding screen smartphone will be sold in the European market, but didn’t say that it is a domestic version or an upgraded version.

It is expected,  the 5G terminal new product will begin the conference on October 23 this year. Thus, that an upgraded version of the Huawei Mate Xs folding screen smartphone will be available in March next year. As a result, the Huawei Mate Xs will upgrade the Mate30 series with the same Kirin 990 5G SoC.

This is the industry’s first to use TSMC 7nm + EUV extreme ultraviolet lithography process to integrate 10.3 billion transistors. It is the industry ’s first mobile SoC that has broken 10 billion. But at the same time, the board area is reduced by up to 36% compared to the previous generation.

The Kirin 990 5G uses a three-stage energy efficiency architecture with two super large cores (Cortex-A76),  four small cores (Cortex-A55), and the industry’s first integration of 16 core the Mali-G76 GPU.

In addition, Yu Chengdong mentioned, that Huawei company will develop new products of folding screen smartphones. Besides, Yu Chengdong said that he wanted a thinner and lighter model has than the current market.
