OnePlus and Sprint have announced today that they are about to introduce the 5G Smartphone to the US carrier’s network. As per the reports, a OnePlus Smartphone will become the 4th member of the Sprint 5G family. Previously, Sprint has LG V50, Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and HTC 5G Hub in the 5G portfolio. The company is going to launch the new OnePlus 7 pro 5G version now.
Furthermore, Sprint has not disclosed which specific smartphone they will hire. The company only revealed that it is only a OnePlus 5G Smartphone with no other candidates for the post. We also have no information on the pricing, specifications and launch date, but hope to receive soon from the company side.
OnePlus 7 Pro 5G specs and more news:
Sprint is offering 5G network currently in Houston, parts of Atlanta, Kansas City, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Chicago etc. Further, it is expected to come in parts of LA, Phoenix, New York, and Washington DC within some days.
In the announcement, Sprint has not apparently disclosed which 5G Smartphone is going to be a part of its network. As we all know, OnePlus has only a single 5G Smartphone that is OnePlus 7 pro 5G. It was launched along with the UK’s first 5G network in June.
Correspondingly, the company is expected to launch a follow-up later this year like its OnePlus 6T followed the release of the OnePlus 6 in 2018.
News has also come up that Sprint will not use mmWave technology to serve its 5G network coverage, unlike Verizon. Therefore, we can’t expect the same gigabit speed as in the Verizon network. It will be a larger coverage area.
In our Sprint’s network test, we got an average download speed of 100 Mbps using LG V50 and also a good performance indoor. So, it could be an amazing deal and we can expect an extraordinary performance under this network spectrum.
