Yesterday, Yu Chengdong, the CEO of Huawei’s consumer business, revealed the release time of the Huawei P40 series. Today, foreign media directly exposed the rendering of the machine.
This set of renderings includes two Huawei P40 and P40 Pro smartphones. The renderings show that the Huawei P40 will use a conventional flat screen. The P40 will only use 2.5D glass at the edges for the transition, which also conforms to Huawei’s consistent design thinking.
In the design of the rear camera module, the Huawei P40 uses a rounded rectangular design of “long bath tyrant”. However, the specific camera configuration is not clear yet.
In general, the design of the P40 is in line with expectations. It is a mainstream design that is quite satisfactory.
In comparison, the design of Huawei P40 Pro appears to be quite aggressive. From the renderings, we can see that the machine uses a curved screen design. Unlike regular curved screens, the curved screens are used on the top, bottom, left, and right screens of the Huawei P40 Pro. This should have a big improvement in the full-screen view of the front.
The camera design on the back is basically the same as the P40. However, according to Huawei’s consistent product ideas, the camera configuration of the P40 Pro is definitely better.
The four-sided curved screen is indeed an unprecedented design. It can be expected that it will make the frontal look more shocking, but it also brings another challenge. The anti-tampering algorithm must consider more screen areas.
Both the phones will have USB Type-C ports, SIM card tray, and speaker grilles at the bottom, while the top edge houses a 2mm hole. The volume rocker and power buttons will be on the right spine of the Huawei P40 series models. There will be no 3.5mm audio jack on either handset.
