Huami Released Amazfit X Concept Smartwatch Today

This afternoon, Huami held a new product launch conference in Beijing, announcing three smartwatches: the Amazfit GTS, the Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 3, and the Amazfit X concept watch.

Unlike the previous two models, the Amazfit X is known as the ‘watch from the future’ and will be available in the first half of 2020.

The Amazfit X uses a proprietary 2.07-inch flexible curved screen, which is said to cost millions of dollars. It applies the hot-bending 3D process. Also, this the glass reaches a super-arc curvature of 92° through 700°C ultra-high temperature heating and 6-bend bending process.

Its shape is like a new moon. The watch comes with a larger display area. Say, its display area is 244% larger than that of a similar size wearable. The watch also has 326ppi pixel density, 100% NTSC high color saturation and up to 430nite screen brightness.

As you guess, this flexible curved screen is more suitable for wrist wear. In order to achieve bending, the company put a 220mAh curved lithium battery inside. According to the internal test, it can support up to 7 days of battery life).

The Amazfit X features an all-metal integrated design with hidden electronic buttons that replace the raised traditional buttons.

Huang Wang, the founder, chairman and CEO of Huami Technology, said: ‘We have encountered many difficulties, challenges and impossibility when doing such a future concept product because we are challenging wearable devices almost every step.’

By the way, the Amazfit X has many things in common with the Nubia X. As Huami has designed such a bracelet too, there is every reason to think this is going to be the future of wearables.
