Today, Xiaomi’s official Weibo channel announced that the new Mi Box 4S will open appointment on October 21. The price will be 289 yuan ($44), and it will be available for purchase on November 1.

New Xiaomi Mi box 4S has a usual minimalist design. The appearance remains the same, coming with a compact body, a light weight, and a Xiaomi logo on the top.
The company also gave the main selling points of the Mi Box 4S:
- Dual-band WiFi, faster transmission and more stable signal
- The standard voice remote control is used by the elderly and children
- 4K HDR ultra-high-definition output, blockbuster experience is shocking and realistic

The previous generation of the Mi Box 4 was released in January 2018. The Mi Box 4 SE package version was released in January last year. The novelty not only comes with a new color option but also continues the powerful hardware configuration inside. According to the current official information, the main upgrade of the Mi Box 4S is dual-band Wi-Fi. The Mi Box 4 only supports 802.11b/g/n, 2.4 GHz WI-Fi. The Mi Box 4S supports 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi. Beyond that, the new Xiaomi Mi Box 4S adds 4K HDR ultra-high-definition video support. In terms of memory, we once again have a 2GB RAM and an 8GB storage.
