The first batch has already completed pushing out the update. The stability and fluency of the MIUI12.5 system has been greatly improved, and the industry-leading privacy protection function even surpasses iOS.
Xiaomi’s latest generation of MIUI 12.5 system was released in December last year. The company said that this upgrade is no less than a major version update, involving security and privacy, super wallpaper, dynamic design, tactile design, system optimization and many other aspects.
MIUI12.5 is dedicated to improving system stability and fluency. MIUI12.5 rewrites the System UI, reducing the memory usage of core scenes by 20%, and optimizing the system apps one by one. The background memory usage has dropped by an average of 35%, and the system application power consumption has dropped by an average of 25%.
It is worth mentioning that the MIUI12.5 physics engine adopts the technology of “intelligent stacking and concurrent computing”, which can greatly improve operating efficiency and achieve very complex and smooth dynamic effects.
The new version adds four new functions: smart clipboard privacy protection, file sandbox mechanism, web browsing privacy protection, location information privacy protection, and the introduction of MIUI + multi-screen office software.
In addition, MIUI12.5 brings the first “cross-border” product MIUI+. This function breaks the barrier between Android and Windows from the bottom of the system, and realizes cross-platform and cross-system efficient operation.
