The main camera of the Xiaomi Mi 10 has a 100MP resolution. With the support of Snapdragon 865 and the new ISP, the quadruple computing performance is even more powerful. LPDDR5 transfers are particularly fast, and UFS 3.0 writes are very fast.
Others worry: Will 100MP photos be too big?
The Xiaomi Mi 10 supports the HEIF format, which can reduce the file size by at least 50% while maintaining the same image quality. HEIF is an efficient image file format based on the HEVC encoder. Test: when photos are shoot in the same scene and save as JPG and HEIF format, the former one is 12.1MB, while the HEIF format is 4.43MB. After the popularity of HEIF, it is estimated that JPEG and GIF can be eliminated.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Camera: 8K Video
Lei Jun said that Xiaomi Mi 10 is also a good video shooter, calling it a ‘100-megapixel 8K movie camera.’
He also revealed that in February 2020, the Xiaomi Mi 10 will bring 100MP Pro to participate in the DXoMARK evaluation again and challenge the new height of the mobile imaging.

It is reported that the Snapdragon 865 integrates Spectra 480, which is Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile platform ISP image processor so far, and can support a single camera of 200MP resolution and 8K video recording. The number of pixels in a single frame of 8K video is as high as 33 million (7680×4320).
