Quick Search Is Coming, Microsoft Windows 10 Version 2004 Preview Version 19041 Is Pushed

Today Microsoft pushed the Windows 10 20H1 fast and slow preview version 19041 system update, that is, Windows 10 version 2004 welcomes new updates.

Quick search is more international

Last month, Microsoft announced a new “Quick Search” feature available in the “Search Home”, which allows users to quickly and easily find Web answers and results. Today, Microsoft is happy to share this experience with you and has now expanded from EN-US to:

  • Australia: English
  • Canada: English and French
  • China: Chinese (Simplified)
  • France: French
  • Germany: German
  • India: English
  • Italy: Italian
  • Japan: Japanese
  • Mexico: Spanish
  • Spain: Spanish
  • United Kingdom: English
  • American English

Use Quick Search to find information about the weather, hot news, today in history, new movies, and occasionally seasonal themes or interesting quizzes. Depending on the market you are in, you will see two to four of these options.

To try any or all of these searches, click the search box on the taskbar, or press Windows Logo + S to open the Search Home page. Need answers and results for other searches? Just type what you want to enter to search quickly and easily.

Note: This is a server-side change that is currently being push. It will be available for users in the supported markets from version 1809 to 20H1 builds.

General changes, improvements and fixes for PC

  • The build watermark in the lower right corner of the desktop is no longer included in this version. But that doesn’t mean it’s done …
  • Fixed an issue that caused internal staff to encounter more rollbacks when upgrading to the latest version (error code 0xc1900101).
  • Solved an issue from a recent release that could cause a crash when trying to sign in to a secondary account on a device.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause candidate windows not to be displayed when using reconversion when using Japanese IME in some Office applications.
  • Fixed an issue where if you left the “Public File Dialog” idle after opening it, it could cause an unexpected increase in CPU usage in Win32 applications.

Known issues

  • Due to operating system changes between certain Insider Preview versions and certain versions of BattlEye anti-cheating software, BattlEye and Microsoft have discovered incompatibilities. To protect insiders who may have these versions installed on their PCs. Vompatibility reservations have been applied to these devices to prevent affects versions of Windows Insider Preview.
  • When trying to install a new version, Microsoft was investigating reports of a longer pause in the update process.
  • Microsoft is investigating reports that certain external USB 3.0 drives did not respond to Start Code 10 after connection.
  • Microsoft is investigating reports from the Optimize Drive control panel, which incorrectly reports optimizations, which have never run on some devices.
