HMD Global, a holding subsidiary of Nokia-branded devices, usually displays a large number of new products at MWC. This year, Nokia is going to launch its first smartwatch. Nokia’s smartwatch has been confirmed through a patent document of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The latter shows that Nokia has applied for a trademark for eSIM-equipped devices under the code name “Smiley”.
According to reports, Nokia’s wearables have recently got a certificate by Google, further confirming rumors about Nokia’s smartwatches. Interestingly, there are no reports on Nokia smartwatches at the moment. The situation around the company shows that Nokia smartwatch’s confidentiality work is in place. So accordingly it also makes people look forward to the release of new products.
