On November 26, Honor held a press conference in Beijing and released the Honor V30 series. In addition, the new generation Honor MagicBook 14 notebook was officially released. Today, the new MagicBook 14 is on sale on JD.com. The AMD Ryzen R5 3500U 8G 512G Linux version is priced at 3399 yuan ($483).
The new-generation Honor MagicBook 14 notebook uses a three-sided narrow bezel design with a 4.8mm micro bezel. That is 0.4mm narrower than the previous generation. It also passed the Low Blue Light Certification from Rheinland. In terms of hardware, it is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor and Radeon RX Vega 10 Graphics GPU. The whole series uses PCle NVMe SSD and DDR4 memory.
As for battery life, MagicBook 14 supports 9.5 hours of 1080P video playback. It also allows 9.4 hours of web browsing or 10 hours of daily office work. This laptop also uses a USB Type-C charging interface. That makes possible to be charged 46% in 30 minutes. The company said that it is enough to bring a charging head when traveling.
In addition, the notebook also uses a hidden camera design. The latter is placed between the function and power buttons.
This notebook has a software feature called Honor MagicLink, which provides instant two-way sharing between laptop and smartphone. Unlike the models presented in recent months, the Honor MagicBook 14 is enriched with an elegant blue line. It surrounds the body and has slightly more rounded corners. On the upper part, we find the logo of the Chinese brand in plain sight, colored with purple and blue shades. The power button integrates the fingerprint reader, while the display panel uses a 15.6-inch solution. It comes with super optimized frames, borrowed from the Pro model, and an 87% screen-to-body report. The terminal has an aluminum body weighing only 1.53kg.
