Previously, OnePlus executive said that the OnePlus TV products will use 8 speakers with a total power of 50W. Moreover, they should support Dolby Atmos as well as a dedicated Gamma Color Magic processor. At the same time, BGR said it is expected that the operating system of this TV will be as refined as the one on the OnePlus smartphone.
This afternoon, OnePlus technology CEO, founder Liu Zuohu, through his Weibo account, confirmed that the OnePlus TV will be equipped with 8 speakers + Dolby panoramic sound.
According to the information coming our way from Bluetooth Technology Alliance certification, the OnePlus TV will have 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch versions. The 55-inch version will use the QLED screen, while the small screen version’s 1080P resolution screen will be equipped with the quad-core MediaTek MTK5670 processor.
According to some confirmed specifications, the OP TV will launch a 55-inch 4K QLED TV in the Indian market. In other markets such as China and the United States, the company will offer the larger versions.
Interestingly, apart from OnePlus, there are other traditional smartphone makers that are entering the TV market. As you know, Xiaomi has been there for a few years and has managed to become the number 1 TV brand in both China and India. Honor and Huawei have already launched their own Smart Screen products. OPPO is rumored to come in with such a product as well. But this is not surprising. The smartphones will yield their position to IoT. So the manufacturers should get prepared for this.
